LENOX -- Danielle Lapierre had herself a pretty good day on Friday.
The St. Joseph golfer started off by finishing second in the Western Massachusetts girls individual championships at Worthington Golf Club, and then came back to be medalist for the Crusaders in a 165-182 win over Lenox at Cranwell.
"She's a good player," Lenox coach Dick Salinetti said. "She's one of the top players in the county."
Lapierre shot a 4-over-par 39 on Cranwell's front nine, and was the only golfer to break 40 on the day.
St. Joe's Tim Wiles shot 44, but he registered three birdies and had two of them on the final two holes of his round.
At Western Mass., Lapierre shot 87 and finished two strokes behind South Hadley's Sienna Hebert. Lapierre -- with a 42 on the back nine -- held off Longmeadow's Dana O'Connor by one stroke. Lenox's Lucy Schwartz shot a 102, while Wahconah's Colette Basiliere shot a 112.

PITTSFIELD -- The Blue Devils had four golfers shoot between 40 and 46 to capture this win over Pittsfield at the par-35 Country Club of Pittsfield.
"Drury is a very solid team," said Pittsfield coach Chris Polidoro. "We beat them at their place by three strokes and they got us today."
The Generals' Ryan Grande was medalist with a two-over par 37.

EAST LONGMEADOW -- The Millionaires were handed their first loss of the year, with the hosts scoring a 25-16, 15-25, 22-25, 25-18, 18-16 win.
"An exciting match," said Lenox coach Ed Paquette. "We were up two games to one, and we really wanted to close them out in the fourth game. But we didn't."
Kristin Read had a big night for Lenox, now 9-1, with 40 assists, three kills, three digs and a block. Liz Mitts added 13 kills, four blocks and an ace; Suzanne Woller had seven kills, three aces and seven digs; and Lizzy Barry had six kills, five aces and three blocks.
Paige Suse led the Division II hosts with 33 assists, while Jamie Mickiewicz had 12 kills and three aces.
Lee 3, Monument 0
GREAT BARRINGTON -- The Spartans jumped out to an early lead in the first game, but couldn't hold it, losing 25-16, 25-8, 25-11.
"We were up 9-2 and 10-4, but one of their servers went on a run," said Monument coach Mike Troiano. "Basically, we stopped being able to pass the ball to our setter and we couldn't generate enough offense."
Katie Morin had eight kills, two blocks and three assists for Lee, while Kendra Williams had eight aces and 11 assists and Courtney Picard had eight kills. For the Spartans, Brianna Davis had three digs and a block.
Mount Greylock 3, St. Joseph 0
PITTSFIELD -- The Mounties earned a sweep, 25-10, 25-8, 25-15. Amanda Galib had eight aces for Greylock, while Hope Willis had three kills and Josie Verter had seven aces.
For the Crusaders, Leeanne Hamilton had four kills and four assists, Aileen Archambault had four aces and Andrea Krahforst-Lang had three kills and two assists.
Emma Willard 3, New Lebanon 0
NEW LEBANON, N.Y. -- Emma Willard swept New Lebanon, 25-22, 25-13 and 25-10.
