NORTH ADAMS -- MCLA women's soccer player Natalie Caney might need a bigger bookshelf.
The freshman from Belchertown has been named the MASCAC rookie of the week for the third consecutive week, and the fourth week overall.
Caney scored a goal and an assist in a double-overtime loss at Mount Holyoke, but helped the Trailblazers bounce back in a 2-0 conference win over Fitchburg State. She scored both of her team's goals.
Caney now has 11 goals and 23 total points, leading MCLA in both categories.
HADLEY -- Williams' Ryan Farley is the conference's volleyball co-player of the week.
The sophomore setter from La Jolla, Calif., had 121 assists over 10 sets in three match wins for the Ephs.
In a straight-set win over Tufts, Farley had 45 assists, an ace, six digs and a block assist.
Farley shares the honor with Middlebury outside hitter Megan Jarchow.
