LENOX -- Katie Morin collected 22 kills to go with a block and two assists to lead Lee over Lenox 25-18, 24-26, 25-18 and 26-24 in a battle of South County's two volleyball powers.
"A very good match, and Katie Morin was tremendous," said Lenox coach Ed Paquette. "All the games were close and well-played."
In addition to Morin, Courtney Picard had five kills and three aces and Justine Spare added five aces and two digs for Lee (11-1, 12-3)
For Lenox, Kristin Read had 25 assists, two aces and two blocks, Liz Mitts had 11 kills, 10 digs and two blocks and Suzanne Woller had a strong defensive game with 19 digs to go with four aces.
Housatonic Valley 3, Mount Everett 0
CANAAN, Conn. -- The Eagles were swept, 25-18, 25-20 and 25-18, but coach Dennis Sullvan said he believed this was the best overall match his team played all year.
"They're a very good team," said Sullivan of Housatonic Valley. "But we hung in there, and I'm proud of my players today."
Kara Ormsbee had 12 digs and three aces, while Kayla Krom added eight kills and five digs and Ashley Shaw had 10 assists for Everett.
