PITTSFIELD -- The Miss Hall's girl's basketball team finished second in the inaugural Miss Hall's Tip-Off Classic held over the weekend.
The Hurricanes defeated Greenwich 41-13 and St. Paul's School 43-36, and lost to Stoneleigh-Burnham 41-31 in the final.
The home side trailed only 19-17 at halftime, but Stoneleigh used its superior size to pull away in the second half.
Nanya Okeke led the home team with 11 points. She also drew three charges. Grace Guachione had nine steals and eight rebounds. C'Quoya Haughton scored 15 points for the winners and was named tournament MVP.
In the semifinals, Guachione had 17 points, 10 rebounds and 10 steals for the Hurricanes. Miss Hall's forged a 22-14 halftime lead. Okeke had 10 rebounds as well.
Guachione had 20 points in the Hurricanes' easy win over Greenwich.
