BENNINGTON, VT. — The Mount Greylock girls and Northfield Mount Hermon boys won the Nordic ski event held at Prospect Mountain.
In addition to the team victories, Grace Smith of Mount Greylock (16:37.566) won the individual girls title while Estevan Velez of Northfield Mount Hermon (14:12.706) won the boys championship.

MOUNT EVERETT DUALS
SHEFFIELD >> The Mount Greylock wrestling went undefeated, while Monument Mountain had a strong showing as well at the Mount Everett duals on Saturday.
Greylock beat Granby 42-38, Gateway 72-10, Pathfinder 54-24 and Sabis 49-28. Monument Mountain earned two wins and tied once. The Spartans beat Sabis 47-32 and Gateway 48-21. They tied Granby 42-42. Mount Everett went winless, falling to Gateway 28-21, Southwick 48-24, Granby 48-24, and Sabis 56-16.
Granby gave the Mounties their toughest test, as Robert Sutter's pin at 126 pounds proved to be the winning points.
Cayman Mead went 4-0 at 152. Devin Pelletier (160), Dakota Lane (170) and Alex Griffis (195) also went 4-0. Maurice Nemtzow went 3-0 at 220.
"We're doing okay," Greylock coach Ray Miro said. "We had a lot injuries to deal with. More injuries then we had in the past. Certain kids are stepping up and we're doing alright."
Eli Jones led Monument going 3-0. He beat Sabis' Christian Garcia-Nieves 8-3. Garcia-Nieves is the top-ranked wrestler in the weight class.
Katahdin Jenen made his first varsity start, earning a pin at 145. He earned two wins via forfeit as well. Bart Christiano went 3-0 at 195.
"It's a really good day for us to beat a couple of highly ranked team," Monument coach Simon Jones said. "We're holding together well while other teams are suffering from injuries."
Anthony Lupiani went 4-0 at 106 for Mount Everett while Pat Fosby went 2-0 at 120.
Despite going winless, Everett assistant coach Dan Lanoue said his players are staying in great shape during a taxing part of the season.
"Our guys are doing really well," he said. "We're able to not have the injury bug. We wrestle hard, practice hard and condition hard. With a small team you can condition harder than a large team."

WOODSTOCK ACADEMY 12, TACONIC 8
PITTSFIELD >> Kevin Quinto scored four goals and added an assist for Taconic, but it wasn't quite enough in a close loss to Woodstock Academy.
Brian Henault added two goals for the Braves while Nikos Gian and Andy Cella also scored. Gian added three assists while Cella had one and Shane Tierney chipped in one was well.
Woodstock Academy led, 3-2, after one period and extended its advantage to 10-4 through two.
