LENOX >> Lenox coach Kevin Downer said by the time he realized starting pitcher Connor Hanson may be on the verge of a special performance, it was already the seventh inning and the Millionaires' starter had yet to allow a hit.
Hanson completed the no-hitter, shutting down Mount Everett for the 6-0 win on Wednesday. He struck out eight and did not walk a batter in 61 pitches. He was one error away from a perfect game.
Joe Bouvier led Lenox's offense with two hits and two RBI. Hanson and Mike Downer added an RBI each.
"Hanson was in total command of his fastball, curveball and change-up," Kevin Downer said. "He kept guys off balance and pitched a gem."

NORTHAMPTON >> McCann Tech collected a season-high 11 hits and a big win over Smith Voc. The Hornets scored in five out of the seven innings, giving more than enough run support for starter Robert Matte III. He went the distance, striking out six and walking two.
Robert Pecor went 3 for 3 with three RBI. Austin Miller added three hits and two RBI. Charlie Bohl had two hits and one RBI.
"This win is coming off another big win for our guys," McCann Tech coach Pat Ryan said. "They showed up and played well. They really put their best foot forward."

GREAT BARRINGTON >> Taconic's Jake McNeice struck out 10 and allowed only six hits, leading the Braves to a win over Monument Mountain. Monument took a 2-1 lead after the first inning, but walks and an error led to a five-run fourth for Taconic. Jack Cooney had two hits for Taconic. Nate Cormier led Monument with three hits.
"We walked 12 batters and they didn't walk anybody," Monument coach Tom Hankey said. "We got to [McNeice] early, but he settled in. He kept us off balance and was around the plate all day. He threw well."

LEE SPLITS DOUBLEHEADER
LEE >> Lee won the first game of its doubleheader 11-9 over Commerce, but dropped the second game to Putnam 16-10.
The Wildcats started quickly in game one, scoring six runs in the first inning. Commerce starter Alexus Anderson walked Kaylinn Kingsley and Shannon Finnegan to start the game. Kingsley advanced to second on a wild pitch, stole third and scored while Finnegan got tagged out at second. Jayle Spears also drew a walk and came around to score. After a Courtney Picard pop out, the next two Wildcats reached via walk and Anna Jeffries scored on a wild pitch. Kiahara Guzman plated two with a double and Molly Carlotto drove in Guzman with a single, capping the rally.
Lee added five more runs, before Commerce threatened with four runs in the sixth, but Picard closed out the game for the win.
Guzman led Lee with three RBI.
The Beavers scored 11 runs in the first two innings for the game-two victory. Jocelyn Enriquez led Putnam with two hits and four RBI. Picard, Guzman and Gabbi Bridagan had three hits each for Lee.

LENOX PICKS UP FIRST WIN OF THE SEASON IN DOUBLEHEADER SPLIT
LENOX >> Lenox dropped a closed game in the first game of its doubleheader, losing 8-7 to Putnam, but the Millionaires regrouped and won their first game of the season, beating Commerce 15-3.
In the first game, Putnam broke a 7-7 tie in the sixth as Alicia Gilmore scored on an RBI single. Sierra Fernandez and Rebecca Lacroix had two RBI each for the Beavers. Morgan Levesque and Claire Lynch had two RBI each for Lenox. The Millionaires' offense carried them to their first win of the season in the second game. They scored in every inning as Levesque led the way with three hits and four RBI. Lynch had two hits and three RBI. Levesque earned the win, pitching six innings and allowing only two hits.

CHESHIRE >> Hoosac Valley's Aubrey Rumbolt netted the winning goal with 32 seconds left in regulation, leading the Hurricanes over Pittsfield. The win gives the 'Canes three on the season, setting a new season-high for the program. Rumbolt led Hoosac with three goals and an assist. Claudia Bresset had four goals and one assist. Emily Kestyn led Pittsfield with three goals.
"Pittsfield outplayed us in the first half, but we came back with a good amount of intensity in the second half," Hoosac coach Molly Meczywor said.
