NORTHAMPTON — Sean McCormack scored with 2:41 remaining to seal a 6-5 victory for the Mount Greylock boys lacrosse team over Northampton.
The Mounties entered the fourth quarter trailing 5-4, but Owen Politis tied it for Greylock with 6:08 remaining.
Reilly Parker scored twice and added two assists for the Mounties while Cal Filson registered seven saves.

DALTON >> Wahconah's offense led it to victory over Taconic. Five Warriors scored goals, with Jeremy Girard leading the way with four goals and one assist. Connor Washburn had three goals and three assists. Dart Jaggi added three assists as well. Kevyn Harris led Taconic with three goals.
"Great balanced offense and ball movement," Wahconah coach Zach Sondrini said via email. "We won the ground ball and wing-play game which was our downfall versus Hoosac two days earlier."

PITTSFIELD >> In a matchup of two of the top teams in Western Mass. so far this season, Pope Francis eked a victory out over Taconic.
Jake McNeice pitched six innings for the Braves, striking out four and walking none while allowing four hits and one earned run.
Ryan Abel contributed two hits for Taconic, including a double while McNeice also doubled.
The Braves had second and third with one out in the bottom of the seventh with a chance to tie the game, but they couldn't get a run across.
Taconic had just played the night before in Troy, N.Y., before a quick turnaround to Saturday's game, but coach Kevin Stannard didn't use that as an excuse.
"We didn't execute," he said. "Mentally, we weren't into the game. I expect the kids will rebound and regain their focus and be ready to go this week."

Danny Miller led East Longmeadow with three hits and three RBI. Eli Ostheimer led Greylock with two hits and three RBI. Brandon Condon had two hits and a run scored. Brodie Altiere took the loss, allowing four runs in four innings.

In addition to poor defense, the Warriors could not get the timely hit when necessary. They had the bases loaded with one out in the third, but could not produce a run. The host left eight men on base total.

With one out, Simon Nassif hit a triple and scored on a Chris Tracy sacrifice fly. Griffin Manns reached on an error. Gabe Coyne hit a single and Shane Tierney got hit by a pitch, loading the bases. Quinn Matthews capped the rally with a two RBI single. Sam Fick earned the win, striking out seven. He did not walk a batter.

LENOX >> Millis put together two strong performances in its doubleheader sweep of Lenox. Carly Wenzel pitched a perfect game for the Mohawks in the first, winning 7-0. The offense carried them in the second game, winning 17-0. Wenzel struck out 14 in the perfect game. She added a hit and two RBI as well. In the second game, Lenox's Kasey Valle drove in one run, but that was not enough. The Mohawks used a 19-hit effort to generate 17 runs.
