NORTH ADAMS >> The McCann Tech baseball team doesn't have to wait to start playing in the postseason.
The Hornets earned the No. 4 seed in the Massachusetts Voc-Tech Small School baseball tournament, and will hit the road this afternoon.
McCann (16-4), the Tri-County League regular-season champion, will face top-seed Old Colony of Rochester in a game at noon in Acushnet. The teams will meet at Pope Park.
The other game in the four-team tournament features No. 2 Essex Tech against third-seeded Upper Cape Cod.
The winners will play each other on Tuesday.
DRURY 23, ST. JOSEPH 6
PITTSFIELD >> The Blue Devils brought the curtain down on their baseball season with a lopsided win over St. Joseph (1-12) in the Berkshire Classic.
Drury (8-12) scored eight runs on three hits in the top of the first inning, and never looked back. The Blue Devils sent 12 batters to the plate in the first inning and then had a 11-batter fourth, when they scored six more.
Thaylen Harrison just missed hitting for the cycle, going 3 for 6. He had a solo home run in the first inning, a two-run single in the fourth and an RBI double in the seventh. He also drove in four runs. Kody Crosier went 4 for 5 with two runs scored and four RBI.
Joey Maynard was 3 for 4 for the Crusaders, driving in a run.

GOLD RIVER, CALIF. >> The Williams women's rowing team made another trip to the podium at the NCAA Division III championships — just not where they wanted to be.
The Ephs finished third Saturday, with their quest for a 10th national championship on hold for another 12 months.
By virtue of a win over Williams in the Grand Final, Wellesley won the national championship with 40 points. Bates was second with 36 points, while Williams had 35 points.
In the I Eights Grand Final, Wellesley took the lead at the 300-meter mark, and never gave it up. Wellesley won the race in 6 minutes, 46.1 seconds. Williams was second at 6:47.4, while Wesleyan took third in 6:47.8.
In the II Eights Grand Final, Bates won the race in 6:50.927. Wellesley was second in 6:59.315, while Williams was third in 7:06.509.
