JV VOLLEYBALL COACH OPENING

Taconic High School seeking junior varsity volleyball coach for the current 2016 season.

Candidate will be responsible for supervising junior varsity team and assisting in the management, organization and administration of all phases of the girls volleyball program in accordance with MIAA regulations.

The junior varsity coach must have a commitment to developing junior varsity players for future competition at the varsity level, emphasizing integrity and the educational/personal welfare of the student-athletes. Additional responsibilities also include coaching effectively in practice and successfully in games and managing equipment inventory.

Current season runs from late August through mid-November. It is a paid position. Application process closes upon position being filled.

GIRLS BASKETBALL COACH OPENING

Lee Middle and High School is looking for a girls varsity basketball coach for the upcoming 2016-17 season.

Prior coaching experience at the high school level is preferred. The season begins on Monday, Nov. 28th and runs through early March.

The annual Adams-Cheshire youth football spaghetti supper will be held on Sept. 19 at Bounti Fare in Adams.

It will go from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. It is $9 for adults $7 for children. There will be a baked goods table and raffle items available.

PITTSFIELD UNICO'S 27TH ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT RAISES $25,500

UNICO of Pittsfield held their 27th Annual Golf Tournament on Aug. 10 and raised a total of $25,500 for its charitable causes.

A total of 190 golfers participated in the event supported by over 100 local businesses at the Berkshire Hills Country Club. The proceeds will be used to support local charities. Additionally, UNICO gave away $15,000 in scholarships to local high school students this past June.
