GREAT BARRINGTON — Zufan Bazzano scored in the first half for Monument Mountain, but Lauren Daury's goal for Pittsfield within the final 15 minutes of the game salvaged the tie for the Generals.
Bazzano's goal came in the 24th minute for Monument (4-0-2, 3-0-1 Berkshire North). For Pittsfield (2-3-2, 0-1-2), Daury tied it in the 66th minute.
Emily Rada registered eight saves for the Spartans while Hayley Tobin had five saves for the Generals.

"I moved girls around today for more support on our defensive line to help defensive veteran Kelly Therrien, since I know Hoosac has a strong and fast mid and forward line," Drury coach Maryjane Rumbolt wrote in an email. "We played well at the beginning of the game. Unfortunately, with very few subs and injuries, we could not hold them off."
Five different Hoosac players scored goals. Madi Vigna led the way with a goal and an assist.

Hoosac coach Mike Russo said the goals came off of breakdowns as his team pressed in the offensive zone trying to break the shutout.
"I was pleased with the competitiveness," said Russo. "I think we held our own for a good portion of the game."
