LEE >> Visiting Mount Greylock knocked off previously unbeaten Lee 172-175 on Thursday at Greenock Country Club.

The Mounties (7-3, 7-3 Berkshire North) relied on low scores throughout the linup to take down the Wildcats (9-1, 9-1 Berkshire South).

Lee's Thomas Fraser was the medalist in the loss, shooting a 39 on the par-35. Greylock was led by Kyle Alvarez, who shot a 41, and No. 6 golfer Mark Hayden helped swing the match with a 45.

"Hats off to Greylock," Lee coach Matt Carlino said. "They beat us, they played good. We really tried to prep for our tough match and they gave us one, and we didn't play our best.

"It was disappointing, but it was a good test for our players and, although we came up short tonight, I think it will do us good in the long run."

PITTSFIELD >> At Berkshire Hills Country Club, host Taconic (8-2) earned its way to the Western Mass. Division I tournament with its win on Thursday.

"That's always our goal coming into the season," said Taconic coach Mike Hillman. "We made it a little quicker than anticipated in my opinion."


Once again, Taconic's Mike Kays was medalist. Kays shot a 40.

LENOX >> Wahconah (5-3) defeated both Lenox and Mount Everett in a tri-match at Cranwell. Lenox (5-4, 5-3 South Division) came back and beat Mount Everett (1-8, 1-8). The scores were 160 for Wahconah, 189 for Lenox and 213 for Mount Everett.

"It was a very good day for our team," Wahconah coach Pete Terpak wrote in an email. "We picked up two wins, but more importantly we finally played well."

Jon Dos Santos was medalist with a 1-over-par 36. Colette Basiliere shot a 39 and Nate Dos Santos had a 39. Nate Dos Santos rebounded from a two-shot penalty hitting from the wrong tee with birdies on No. 7 and 9.

"I'm very impressed with Wahconah. They have three outstanding scorers," Lenox coach Dick Salinetti said. "We were going to have to shoot one of our best scores ever to beat Wahconah."

ADAMS >> At Forest Park, Brad Tatro shot a 2-over-par 38, beating Pioneer's Jacob Willis by one stroke, to help the Hornets (4-2) hand Pioneer (8-1) its first loss of the year.

Their match at No. 1 was decided when Tatro birdied the par-4 ninth hole, while Willis shot a bogey.

"Brad Tatro played the best match of his career to lead the way," McCann coach Corbin Brassard wrote in an email.

LEE >> Lee made quick work of East Longmeadow on Thursday, sweeping the match with set scores of 25-13, 25-15, 25-6.

Kendra Williams led the Wildcats (9-1) with 14 assists, five aces and two kills. Shenna Tyer added six kills and two assists, and Anna Wang had seven digs and one ace.

"We were firing on all cylinders," Lee coach John Warner said. "Our offense is really coming around, and our team is really starting to gel at this point."

WESTON >> MCLA gave no quarter Thursday night at Regis College, but the Trailblazers were swept 3-0. The scores were 25-19, 25-19, 25-23.

For MCLA, Allison Clark had a match-best 12 kills. Beatrice Lechler had 12 assists, while Chanielle Enomoto had 12 digs.

Regis' defense was solid, with Nicole Connolly recording 11 digs and Dylan Godfrey 10. Connolly also had a team-high eight kills, while Shay Faber had 24 assists.

MCLA is now 7-9, while Regis is 3-11.
