NORTH ADAMS >> This has been a season to remember for the Drury boys soccer team.

The Blue Devils won their ninth game without a loss, and qualified for the Western Massachusetts Division III tournament by beating Duggan Academy 6-1 on Thursday afternoon. The Blue Devils (9-0-1) play 18 regular-season games.

"It's a great accomplishment. We've gotten off to a great start," Drury coach John Jacobbe said. "Right now, the only thing I care about is game No. 11."

Drury took a 4-0 lead at halftime, and tacked on two more before Duggan got a goal late in the game. The Blue Devils made it 2-0 just 10 minutes in.

"For a newer school, they competed hard and battled us," the Drury coach said. "We knew we could cash them in early."

Jonah Miles had two goals and an assist to lead Drury, while Jon Boland scored twice and Reece Racette chipped in with a goal and two assists.

SHEFFIELD >> Gwendolyn Carpenter's free-kick goal in the 68th minute broke a scoreless tie and gave the Eagles (7-1-0) a win over McCann (5-4-0).

Carpenter's shot was from some 28 yards out and it snuck under the crossbar and into the net.

Everett coach Jess Murtagh said the game was, for the most part, played in the McCann defensive end.

"It was one of those frustrating days for the offense," she said. "[Alanza Quinones] had a phenomenal game."

WILLIAMSTOWN >> The visiting Blue Devils (1-9-0) got on the board first when Aubrey Rumbolt scored on a penalty kick just under six minutes into the game.

The Mounties (4-5-1) were slow recovering, but once freshman Madison Ross scored at 19:13, the flood gates opened. Greylock scored three goals in six minutes and never trailed again.

"We spotted them that quick goal," Greylock coach Tom Ostheimer said. "It too us about 20 minutes to get untracked.

"Madison Ross [1 goal, 3 assists] pretty much lit up the scoreboard. Caroline Flynn had a great night."

Flynn scored a natural hat trick, closing out the first half with a goal and then scoring the first two of the second half.
