ADAMS — Henry Sniezek continued his hot shooting, leading Hoosac Valley to a 172-183 win over Taconic.
Sniezek came in with a 41, giving him medalist honors for the match. The win qualifies the Hurricanes (8-4) for the Western Massachusetts tournament.
Thursday's performance was his second consecutive low round, coming off a 39 Wednesday against Wahconah. Mike Kays led Taconic (8-4) with a 42. Jack Sniezek and Luc Trombley shot 43s for Hoosac.
"I knew my fifth man was playing pretty good," Hoosac coach Jay Sniezek. "I knew it was going to be close, but he pulled it out. He's been playing good lately."

Fran Gigliotti led Wahconah (9-3) with one ace, 11 assists and six kills. Kelsey LaFreniere had two aces, 10 kills and two digs. Jess Warren added three aces and five digs.
"In the first set we had trouble coming out of the gate," Wahconah coach David Lussier said. "In the second set we talked about focusing on the basics and using better communication on the court."

WILLIAMSTOWN >> Mount Greylock swept Monument Mountain 25-12, 25-20 and 25-19.
Jenna Benzinger led Greylock (9-2) with nine kills and three blocks. Dagny Albano seven aces, three kills and 12 assists. Maddie Albert added 10 assists. SHEFFIELD >> Kayla Krom had 11 kills, five aces and four blocks for Mount Everett (2-8) in its win over Mount Anthony. The scores were 24-26, 25-9, 21-25, 25-17, 15-2.
Sarah Balestro recorded eight assists, two kills and two aces for the Eagles while Maria DeManby had seven aces, one kill and one dig.
Ashley Atwood registered six aces for Everett.
