BART sent runners to the Mass Charter School Cross-Country Championships in Marlborough on Monday.
The Wolf Pack ran in five of the six races offered. With 27 runners, BART earned 15 medals for individual performances as well as two team trophies.
High school individual medals went to Thomas Cook (first, boys varsity), Josh Doubiago (third, boys JV), Will Schrade (fifth, boys JV), Matt Failla (eighth, boys JV), Jesse Doubiago (third, girls JV) and Kylie Taylor (sixth, girls JV), Grace Krzanik (eighth, girls JV).
Middle school individual medals went to Simira Hanger (first, girls), Abby Parker (fifth, girls), Amelia Soler Sala (sixth, girls), Elijah Alford (fourth, boys), Kyle Gwilt (fifth, boys), Josiah Joyce (sixth, boys), A.J. Knights (seventh, boys) and Ty Aubin (eighth, boys).
Joyce Miller. Dalton native, participated in the Chicago Marathon. She completed the race in 3:34:22.
Miller graduated from Wahconah in 1990 and currently resides in South Lancaster.
YOUTH SKI LEAGUE
The Prospect Mountain Bill Koch Youth Ski League will hold an informational meeting for new and returning families on Oct. 23 at 2 p.m. at Prospect Mountain Nordic Center on Route 9 in Woodford, Vt.
A ski and clothing swap/sale will follow the meeting at approximately 2:30 p.m.
The meeting will be an opportunity for prospective families to learn about the Bill Koch Youth Ski League, a cross-country ski program for youth ages 4-13. The program introduces young people to the sport of cross-country skiing with all of its recreational, social, fitness and competitive opportunities. The program attracts children and families from nearby communities in Vermont, Massachusetts and New York.
The Prospect Mountain Bill Koch League practices every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon at Prospect Mountain in Woodford, Vt. Practices will begin on Dec. 13th and will run through early March.

EAST COAST SNOCROSS
A third straight year in Bangor, Maine, and a return visit to familiar sites in Vermont and New York are among the highlights as East Coast Snocross (ECS) officials announce their 2017 event schedule.
Only one site has yet to be finalized. Details of the tentative season opener on Jan. 7-8 will be announced in the coming weeks.

On Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 28-29, the series returns to Bass Park in Bangor, Maine, for the third consecutive year.
Round three will take place at the annual combination race with ISOC's ACS National Series on Feb. 3-5, in Salamanca, N.Y.
On Feb. 18-19, the series will return to Willow Park in historic Bennington, Vt.
For Round 5, teams will travel to of Plattsburgh, N.Y., for two days of competition on Feb. 24-25 at the Clinton County Fairgrounds.
On March 4-5, the series will visit the famed Canandaigua Speedway in Elbridge, N.Y. for Round 6.
Round 7 will take place on March 18-19 at Mt. Southington Ski Resort in Southington, Conn.
To wrap up the 2017 season, ECS will again return to Peek'N Peak Resort in Clymer, N.Y. This world-class facility is the perfect spot to cap off a hard-fought season on the bumps and jumps. Officials appreciate the long-standing relationship they're lucky enough to have with Peek 'N Peak Resort. We look forward to our return visit on March 25-26.
