WILLIAMSTOWN >> Images Cinema continues its Centennial Film Series on June 6 with a 7 p.m. screening of Sidney Lumet's 1976 film, "Dog Day Afternoon" starring Al Pacino.
David Fear, senior culture editor at Rolling Stone, will present the film and lead a post-screening discussion about the film and the cinema of the Seventies. This event is part of "100 Years of Images: A Centennial Film Series."
Pacino stars as a desperate man whose plan to rob a Brooklyn bank goes awry, leading to a 14-hour standoff with the police and an ever-escalating media circus outside in what is considered one of the most iconic films of the Seventies.
Images Cinema is located at 50 Spring St.
