BOSTON (AP) -- Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick will be speaking about the effects the Affordable Care Act has had on American families during a health care forum in Charlotte, N.C.
Patrick will join Victoria Kennedy, U.S. House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi as speakers at the Wednesday morning health care forum organized by the Service Employees International Union and Families USA.
Organizers say the forum will focus on how the health care law has affected families and the how the law is being threatened by Republican opponents.
The forum will take place during the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, N.C.
In June, the U.S. Supreme Court upheld President Barack Obama’s 2010 health care overhaul, which will, among other things, require most Americans to have health insurance, or face fines.
