PITTSFIELD -- The inaugural Downtown Pittsfield Farmers Market kicks off Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and will continue every Saturday through Oct. 26.
The farmers market is a way to help community members live healthier lives.
"It's very important that Pittsfield residents have access to fresh, locally grown vegetables, fruits, and prepared foods, especially our youth," said Mayor Daniel Bianchi.
The new Downtown Pittsfield Farmers Market is billed as a lively community hub and gathering place.
More than 20 farmers, food producers and artisans have all ready signed up to be a part of the inaugural year of the Downtown Pittsfield Farmers Market.
