To the editor of THE EAGLE:
With respect to the letter by Philip Cohen ("A showboat, but a great pianist," August 19), I, too, am a "trained, serious, classical pianist." I started at the age of 4 and am still at it today, as I am currently restoring a Mozart concerto that I played in high school.
I went to the same concert to hear Lang-Lang and Yo-Yo Ma and sat in a seat directly behind somebody with a big head that blocked out Lang-Lang, Yo-Yo, the cello, the conductor and half the piano, but I have seen them all before. If their motions bother Mr. Cohen so much, I suggest that the next time he hears one of them, he close his eyes and just listen.
