To the editor of THE EAGLE:
In response to Ms. O’Brien’s letter ("U.S. morality is missing in Egypt," August 20), these innocent people she would so like to protect are the very same people who have burned more than 30 Christian churches. These same innocents are the ones who have shot at and killed Christians on their way to Bible studies and killed at least one 10-year-old child.
These innocents are also the ones who killed 25 unarmed police cadets at their school. These same so-called innocents are the ones who bring their wives and children and AK-47s to peaceful protests, willing to sacrifice them all.
Let’s for once be on the right side of history. We must support the Egyptian army for there is no other option. These so-called innocents would cry with joy if they could only kill all of us together.
