To the editor of THE EAGLE:
When I asked the members of the Men’s Club at Springside Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center what new activity they would like to plan, their reply was a vintage car cruise-in! I soon learned that if you plan it they will come; especially if you have Charles "Butch" Fezzie on your team!
I found Butch through a Goggle search and without hesitation he took my request and ran with it! Butch spread the word and under a clear blue sky on Tuesday, Sept. 17 the owners of 15 vintage cars drove their vehicles onto the Springside campus.
I want the community to know that these wonderful people brought immeasurable joy to our residents as they shared stories and memories with them. My sincerest thanks to Bob Copeland, Ed Menard, Glenn Roy, Harold E. L’Hute, Jim Chivers, John and Barbara Munro, Ted Kaufmann, Lou Rocha, Don Duda, John Skumin, Mike Zawostowski, C.R.T. Cabulance, and Butch Fezzie for the generosity of their time and genuine interest in sharing their awesome vehicles with our residents.
The Men’s Club is already talking about next year! Thank you everyone for a very special day! MEG GREENAWALT
