To the editor of THE EAGLE:
Pope Francis is sounding like the false prophet in the Book of Revelation. He is already lining up the one-world religion. Doesn't it seem odd that a living pope stepped down to make way for his new pope?
Francis, in an interview published in 16 Jesuit journals worldwide, called the church's focus on abortion, marriage and contraception narrow and said it was "driving people away." I do agree with him on contraception. If you use contraception there will be no need for abortion. Catholic churches are closing all over the world because the older generation is dying off and the educated younger generation cannot be programmed into the Catholic faith.
Pope Francis wants to find a "new balance," a "shift in focus." He feels the church has paid too much attention to social issues and "small-minded rules." It doesn't matter if priests are gay, it doesn't matter if there are gay marriages, and it doesn't matter if there are abortions. So Francis will fill his churches with all people whether they believe in the word of God or not. They will go to church, continue in their lifestyles, and call themselves Catholics. But there is one thing they can't do. They can't fool God.
Every Christian is going to sin until the day they die. You hate the sin, but not the sinner. Yes, Jesus Christ forgives people who turn to Him and want to lead a Christian life, but you cannot continue to murder babies daily, over and over. You cannot rape altar boys. You cannot have naked parades on Main Street, U.S.A.
Pope Francis -- what are you doing? BEVERLY GIANOKAKIS
