To the editor of THE EAGLE:
Our 87-year-old Aunt Jeanne has made her "pilgrimage" to Ogonquit, Maine every summer from Boston for too many years to tally. She is single now and still takes the drive north to experience the New England beauty of her sojourn.
Ruth Bass captured so much of the essence of the environment in a recent travel article. The detail and romantic point of view were worthy of Travel and Leisure magazine.
Unfortunately, Ruth’s husband Milton followed with his gastronomic point of view in the Sept. 22 Eagle. Perhaps the previous $50 gift from Lord’s Restaurant was the catalyst for Milton’s article. Ruth should be the winner in my opinion. And Milton might consider sticking to his curmudgeonly articles on political topics. They are always amusing.
