To the editor of THE EAGLE:
Home and business owners will open their property to show successful sustainability methods today from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. The Northeast Sustainable Energy Association (NESEA) coordinates this event in the six New England states plus Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania.
To find host sites throughout our area you can go towww.nesea.org/gboh and put in your zip code and the maximum distance you want to travel to see what other people have done to use less fossil fuel.
The goal of Green Buildings Open House (GBOH) is to enable participants to see energy efficiency and renewable energy improvements in their communities, and motivate them to adopt similar solutions in their own homes. At host sites participants are able to talk with home and business owners, ask questions, and see how their renewable energy technologies actually work. Last year more than 10,000 people toured close to 500 sites from Maine to Pennsylvania, and this year’s event is expected to be even bigger!
