To the editor of THE EAGLE:
The Oct. 6 op-ed column by Eugene Robinson of The Washington Post Writers’ Group ("Let go of the car") helps put in perspective the House actions that are undermining the economy and America’s place in the world. He compares Speaker Boehner’s actions to a dog that’s been chasing a car and doesn’t know how to let go as he tries to override the already ratified Affordable Care Act.
Robinson points out that "The president believes that it would weaken American democracy if one faction of one party of one house of Congress were allowed to impose its will through extortion."
Thank you Eugene Robinson for helping shed light on this important issue that needs clear thinking and appropriate action for the good of all.
