To the editor of THE EAGLE:
On Monday, Sept. 30, while driving to Kripalu Center in Stockbridge, I got a flat tire and stopped in the Arcadian Shop driveway on Route 7 to survey the situation and contemplate what to do. At age 90, I knew I needed help to install the spare.
Out of nowhere, two men stopped to help me. One was a Lenox police officer, Sean Ward. The other was a civilian whose name I do not know. I want both men to know that I greatly appreciated their help. With guys like that there is hope for all of us, even with the government shut down.
