To the editor of THE EAGLE:
The English theologian Bishop Robert South, said "If there be any truer measure of a man than by what he does, it must be by what he gives." Ward 6 City Council candidate Joe Nichols, gives more than independent thinking, aggressive constituent representation, responsiveness, and a commitment to results. He quietly brings compassion and caring to the community.
Joe has given and delivered meals to senior citizens. He recently gave 70 ham dinners to the Christian Center. He’s given fresh eggs and produce from his own garden to seniors and others. No one fails to find a nutritional meal if needed at his diner and bakery.
Joe Nichols is carrying on a Nichols family legacy of community service and caring. His father Art Nichols, would open his pharmacy after hours to help a sick child or person; often on a pay when you can basis.
Joe Nichols was an accessible and effective Ward 7 city councilor who truly gives back to his community.
Ward 6 voters, please give Joe Nichols the opportunity to represent Ward 6 on the City Council and to continue his community service.
