To the editor of THE EAGLE:
I served with Kathleen Amuso as a student representative on the Pittsfield School Committee. Kathy impressed me in many areas. As chair, she was organized and ran a very good meeting. She worked well with the School Committee, school personnel and administrators, and was always respectful to the community members who came to the meetings. Her insight and knowledge about issues concerning the school system was second to none. I also saw the passion she had for the students in our school district to reach their potential.
She is now running for city councilor at large. I look forward to her bringing the same dedication and energy she has for the School Committee to the City Council. She is committed to making our community a better place to live. Kathy has the experience and expertise to understand the issues that will come before her as a city councilor.
We need to make sure that Pittsfield strives to be the best for our future generations, providing well-paying jobs and a safe community. Kathy is driven and will work with other councilors, elected officials, and the citizens of Pittsfield to make sure this goal is attained.
I hope you will join me and vote for Kathy Amuso for councilor at large on Nov. 5.
