To the editor of THE EAGLE:
I have enjoyed working with Donna Todd Rivers on various community projects over the past couple and years and I have been blown away by her leadership skills and her fortitude when it comes to finding solutions to complex problems. It is her willingness to reach out and be supportive to anyone in the community who is trying to do something positive that I believe is the true foundation for why she should be elected as a Pittsfield city councilor at large on Nov. 5.
As the founder of the non-profit S.E.E.D. Network I can personally testify to her tireless commitment and significant contributions Donna has made. Whether it has been through her business on North Street or her personal time, she has never failed to show up when our community has needed her.
Over the past few years I have had the pleasure to get to know Donna personally. The first thing I quickly learned about Donna is her passion when it comes to uplifting the lives of the people of Pittsfield. As an advocate for change, Donna realizes that a critical element to consider in the decision-making process of city policies is making sure we look out for the future of the next generation and do everything we can as a community to set them up for success.
While Donna’s education, experience and wisdom provide her with the resources to serve as a councilor at large, it is her character and mindset that will create the positive shift and forward movement this city needs.
