PITTSFIELD -- In cooperation with the Berkshire County Action Council, Greylock Federal Credit Union will be collecting hats, scarves and mittens for children.
Those wishing to participant are asked to bring new warm winter hats, scarves and mittens to any of Greylock's branches between now and Tuesday, Dec. 31.
The items Greylock collects at its branches will complement BCAC's efforts to collect warm clothing for the children of low-income families in Central Berkshire County.
The "ELF Holiday Warm Clothing Program" has been in operation for 33 years. The warm clothing that is collected will be distributed to 610 deserving children who registered for the "Giving Tree" at the Berkshire Mall.
