GREAT BARRINGTON -- Great Barrington Police Department arrested a 32-year-old town man Wednesday night on charges of possessing child pornography.

Michael C. Cebula, of Brush Hill Road, is expected to be arraigned in Southern Berkshire District Court. The date has not yet been disclosed.

"It's still being investigated and additional charges may be brought," said Great Barrington Police Officer Paul Montgomery. "But there's no one else who's going to be arrested."

Investigators with the Massachusetts Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force claim they downloaded child pornography from Cebula's IP address during an investigation that lasted several months.

On Wednesday, officers with the Great Barrington Police Department, the Massachusetts State Police, Berkshire County Sheriff's Office and Homeland Security Investigations executed a federal search warrant on Cebula's home.

Cebula was placed under arrest and locked up at the station at 8 p.m. Later that night, Cebula was released on $500 bail. The present charges against him include two counts of possessing child pornography.
