PITTSFIELD -- Light snow will continue throughout the day in the Berkshires, according to the National Weather Service. The snowfall, which began after 7 a.m. this morning, is expected to last until about 6 p.m. or 7 p.m., National Weather Service meteorologist Luigi Meccariello said.

Some parts of northern Berkshire County, near the Vermont border, may experience longer lasting snow.

Total accumulation is expected to be between one to three inches, Meccariello said.
