WILLIAMSTOWN -- Police say a Pittsfield woman was killed in Thursday morning's two-car crash on Route 7.

Arlene Campoli, 72, was pronounced dead at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, according to Williamstown police.

Campoli was a passenger in a 2010 Hyundai Elantra heading northbound on Route 7 (New Ashford Road) at about 10:21 a.m., when the car crossed into the opposite travel lane and collided with a 2009 Buick Lucerne.

Williamstown Police Sgt. Scott McGowan said the road was slick from falling snow and was the principal factor that led to the crash.

The driver of the Hyundai was Jill Greene, 53, of Pittsfield. She is in critical condition at Berkshire Medical Center.

The driver of the Buick, Helen Munzer, 73, and passenger John Munzer, 70, both of Brookline, were listed in stable condition at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.

Both vehicles were totaled.
