To the editor of THE EAGLE:

I have followed Norman Rockwell’s distinguished artistic career since the 1950s as a Boy Scout at age 12 through stamp-collecting over the past 50 years. He was truly a one-of-a-kind, extremely talented artist and a very kind gentlemen. It is almost beyond belief what the author of "American Mirror: The Life and Art of Norman Rockwell" would infer in her book to defame such a great American legend who gave so much to the world of Illustrative art as did Norman Rockwell.

To add insult to injury, we have Norman Rockwell Museum management condoning and supporting the book’s author. A classic example of biting the hand that feeds you! I think it is high time for a complete management change at the Norman Rockwell Museum.
