To the editor of THE EAGLE:

Phyllis Weiss of Sheffield writes in her letter published on Dec. 31 that "we are all holy," but Jesus said in Luke 18:19 that "none is good, save one, that is, God." And Paul writes in Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."

If we didn’t need a savior, God would not have had to send His son. As Jesus put it in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."
