To the editor of THE EAGLE:

Granted, Laurie Norton Moffatt [the director and CEO of the Norman Rockwell Museum] in hindsight should not have gotten involved in the endorsement of a book about Norman Rockwell, or written a rather defensive response to criticism of said endorsement. But let’s not forget that had it not been for Laurie Norton Moffatt the Norman Rockwell Museum would not have come as far as it has. Remember the white house on Main Street with a few paintings in it?

We all make errors in judgment from time to time. Let us not forget the pleasure and prosperity her hard work and dedication have brought to many. Let us have apologies all around and move on.
