By Nathan Mayberg, Berkshire Eagle Staff PITTSFIELD -- The National Weather Service is expecting snow in the Pittsfield and Berkshires region to last until mid-afternoon, with one to two inches of accumulation possible. The snow should taper off by 3 p.m. or 4 p.m. on Saturday, National Weather Service meteorologist Brian Frugis said.

There could be some flurries thereafter, but no accumulation is forecasted for tonight, Frugis said. Temperatures will hover around the low 30's for most of the day, and drop to the lower 20's tonight. No snowfall is expected overnight.
