To the editor of THE EAGLE:
Everyone at All Saints Episcopal Church would like to thank the community for its support following the fire in the Christian education rooms of the Parish House on Feb. 1.
Thank you to Fire Director Steve Meranti, the North Adams Fire Department, the Adams Fire Department and all the other emergency groups for their rapid and professional response. A few minutes later would likely have resulted in a much worse outcome.
Thank you to Pastor Dave Anderson and the First Baptist Church for the very quick offer of space and other help. Thank you to Rabbi Rachel Barenblat and everyone at Congregation Beth Israel for their very generous offer of assistance. Thank you to St. John’s Episcopal Church in Williamstown, the New Hope United Methodist Church, to Flynn & Dagnoli Funeral Homes, and the many others who have offered space.
Thank you to the many displaced community groups that meet in our Parish House for your understanding. Thank you to the many of you who have expressed support and offered help. We are really thankful and appreciative to you all. A special thanks from the teachers and the Christian Education Director for all the heartwarming offer of help from so many. All Sunday School materials and furnishings were lost in the fire but all can be replaced.
The good news is that everyone is OK, the building is fully insured and the church itself was not affected. Church worship services will resume at 4 p.m. today and 9:30 a.m. Sunday. We hope the community will come join us as we give thanks to God and to all of you.
