NORTH ADAMS -- A snow emergency has been declared for the city of North Adams. The snow emergency went into effect at 10 a.m. Thursday and with continue through noon on Saturday, Feb. 15.

Residents are reminded not to park vehicles on city streets and urged to limit their travel during this time to allow for the removal of snow and clearing of streets during this snow event.

An overnight parking ban is in effect and will be enforced, Mayor Richard J. Alcombright said in a release.

Residents and businesses should clear their sidewalks within 24 hours of the end of the storm as per city ordinance.
