LYNN, Mass. (AP) -- A Lynn man has been held without bail in connection with a fatal stabbing in the city earlier this week.
Shane Dennis was ordered held at his arraignment Wednesday after his lawyer entered not guilty pleas on his behalf to charges including murder.
Police responded to a city home just before 9 p.m. Tuesday for a report of an assault. There they found the 46-year-old victim. His name was not made public.
Details of what happened were thin and court documents were impounded.
Defense attorney John Valerio told the court the information "raises a lot of concerns with the viability of this case."
Neighbors tell The Daily Item of Lynn that the run-down house at which the stabbing occurred is a haven for drug users and squatters.
