WILLIAMSTOWN -- Burnham Gold Real Estate has ex-
panded its operations into new markets in Southern Vermont, according to Kim Burnham, co-owner of the firm.
Tom Elder, a veteran real estate agent in northern Berk-
shire County, joined the Burn-
ham Gold firm about a year ago, and recently completed Vermont requirements that allow him to list both residential and commercial property, and to represent both buyers and sellers of Vermont real estate.
"We had wanted to work in Vermont for some time, so the timing was perfect," Burnham said about Elder’s new credentials. "We have been asked now and then if we could help someone with a Vermont property, and we would have to send them to somebody else. Now we can do all that in-house."
"There was a demand," added Rebecca Gold, co-owner of Burnham Gold. "So it was a win-win when Tom joined us. It took a little while to get all the (state required) paperwork aligned."
Between Burnham, Gold and Elder, the firm enjoys about 40 years of experience in the local real estate market.
Burnham Gold was established in Williamstown in 2011 with three employees covering north and central Berkshire County. Today the firm employs six people and covers southern Vermont as well.
