TAUNTON, Mass. (AP) -- A brother and sister from Taunton are facing charges for allegedly holding a mentally disabled woman against her will, drugging her and arranging for her to have sex for a fee.

Authorities say Peterson Raymond and Johanne Raymond were arraigned Thursday on charges including trafficking a person for sexual servitude, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, kidnapping and threatening to commit a crime. Both were held on bail after pleading not guilty. It was not clear who their lawyers were.

Police Chief Edward Walsh tells The Taunton Daily Gazette authorities were alerted when the alleged victim, who’s in her 20s, went to a hospital this week because she was "pretty beat up."

Walsh says the suspects met the alleged victim online and held her in their apartment.
