To the editor of THE EAGLE:
The latest candidate for Great Barrington Selectboard certainly knows the town inside and out. Ed Abrahams and his lawyers engaged the town of Great Barrington and its law firm when the Mason Library wanted to expand and renovate. The $4 million project was a costly experience for the taxpayers, but at the end Ed managed to learn about town finances, construction, the various town boards and committees, how bad Great Barrington’s legal counsel is, (wonder if elected he would want to keep them or perhaps go with a winning firm; his), and where all the town offices and buildings are, pretty much on the town’s dime. But hey his yard looks great next to the Mason Library.
Hiring a lawyer to shake down Great Barrington for a few thousand bucks, running for Selectboard afterwards, Priceless!
