Spring is here, so it's time for a little sprucing up of the E section.
As of Sunday, April 27, the E section, formerly known as Sunday's Life/Arts, will be called Lifestyles. We're adding more focus on the everyday things people just like you in the Berkshires are interested in, spanning all aspects of everyday life.
As part of this change, we're moving the Outdoors page, which had run on Fridays, to Page E6 of this section, starting Sunday, April 27. On the Outdoors page, you'll find Gene Chague's "Berkshire Woods and Waters" column -- formerly found in Sports -- as well as Thom Smith's "NatureWatch," Judy Isacoff's "Eyes to the Sky," and Ron Kujawski's "Berkshire Garden Journal." While Tim Jones' "Active Outdoors" ends its run with us, he still writes at easternslopes.com.
Sunday will also mark the first day Mr. Know-It-All moves to the front of the E section, with his great variety of questions and interesting tid-bits. And while we're saying goodbye to the "Strange but True" column, we're adding a column/Q&A by the local folks from the Center for Eco Technology, who provide practical tips and answer questions on how to "Live Greener," which can be found next week on the advice page on E4.
And finally, for the next few months, we'll be changing up the Looking Back page on E5, occasionally running a new series of Lewis Hine photographs, "The Mill Children of Adams," in an effort to help local historians identify the young mill workers in child labor photographer Lewis Hine's famous images. Visit www.berkshireeagle.com/mills to learn more about this fascinating local project and how you might be able to help.
Because the new E section is about you and your everyday life, we need to hear from you. What do you want to read more about?
