To the editor of THE EAGLE:
While I confess that I know nothing about Hinsdale’s politics or the issues of the day there, I am in a position to comment on one of the candidates vying for a position on the Select Board.
Vivian Mason held a seat on the Dalton Select Board for three terms. I served with her for three of those years, and I found Vivian to be honest, hard-working and dependable. She could always be counted upon to do what was right for the greater good of the town. By any measure, Vivian was an excellent public servant.
At the risk of appearing meddlesome to my neighbors in Hinsdale, I strongly urge voters to seriously consider Vivian’s qualifications and personal qualities when they go to the polls on Saturday, May 24.
