PITTSFIELD -- A Hinsdale man must register as a sex offender and wear an electronic monitor for 18 months after pleading guilty to seven child porn related charges.

Keith Otto, 54, appeared on Tuesday in Berkshire Superior Court before Judge Mary-Lou Rup and admitted to sending and possessing child porn between November 2012 and January 2013. He pleaded guilty to one count of dissemination of visual material of a child in sexual conduct or a state of nudity and six counts of knowingly possessing visual material of a child depicted in sexual conduct.

He was ordered to serve 18 months probation, during which time he must wear an electronic monitor, undergo sex offender and mental health counseling, register as a sex offender, and refrain from the use of any computers or other devices capable of connecting to the Internet.

Otto had been out on personal recognizance since being arraigned on the charges in April 2013.

The investigation was conducted by the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and investigators from the U. S. Department of Homeland Security.
