Editor's note: This story was modified on May 22 to reflect that Dr. Henry Schwerner was elected to a three-year term on the Stockbridge Board of Health with 404 votes. His name was omitted from a story in Thursday's edition.

STOCKBRIDGE -- Incumbent Stephen A. Shatz has been re-elected to another three-year term on the Board of Selectmen.

A total of 574 voters out of 1,484, or 39 percent, participated in Tuesday's annual town elections.

Shatz earned 275 votes to Adelheid I. Teutsch's 166. Nabih Nejaime was third with 131 votes.

A total of seven incumbents were re-elected without opposition. These included Town Collector Nancy E. Socha, Treasurer Karen T. Williams, Assessor John A. Miller, Housing Authority member R. Timothy Minkler, Parks Commissioner Steven H. Knopf, Planner Barbar Cohen-Hobbs and sewer and water Commissioner Thomas Paul Schuler.

The Planning Board and Housing Authority terms are for five years. All the other terms are for three years.

Non-incumbent Charles Kenney was elected to a one-year term on the Board of Health with 22 votes.

Dr. Henry Schwerner was elected to a three-year term on the Stockbridge Board of Health with 404 votes.
