WORCESTER, Mass. (AP) -- A man wanted in connection with three slayings in Puerto Rico has been captured in Massachusetts.
Worcester police say 23-year-old Luis Torres Flores was arrested Thursday morning.
He was first was identified as a suspect in a non-fatal shooting in the city earlier this week.
During the investigation, Worcester police communicated with authorities in Puerto Rico, and found out that Torres Flores has three separate outstanding warrants for murder.
The Telegram & Gazette (http://bit.ly/TdgOEm ) reports that he was arraigned on a charge of being a fugitive from justice and signed a waiver allowing authorities from Puerto Rico to pick him up.
Torres Flores' lawyer, Robert Fontana, says he expects his client to be taken to Puerto Rico within a month. Meanwhile, he will be held without bail.
