LEICESTER, MASS. >> A Leicester man police say was heavily armed when he was captured after a nearly 24-hour manhunt faces arraignment.

Dean Largesse is scheduled to be arraigned on weapons charges Monday in East Brookfield.

The Telegram & Gazette (http://bit.ly/1PVPyFz ) reports that Worcester police requested Leicester police apprehend Largesse over an alleged domestic incident. When officers arrived at his home at about 12:30 a.m. Saturday, they were told Largesse had fled.

He avoided capture, at one point stealing a boat to row across a lake, until he was caught at about 10 p.m. Saturday in Royalston State Forest, roughly 35 miles away.

Police found weapons and ammunition at his home. Police say he was not licensed to have guns.

Largesse was held without bail. It's not clear if he has a lawyer.
