BOSTON >> Police say officers used pepper spray to disarm an unidentified man who was threatening bystanders in Boston's Roxbury neighborhood with a two-pronged grilling fork.
The Boston Globe reports (http://bit.ly/1I8AXUN ) police were dispatched to Washington Street around 1:45 p.m. Monday after witnesses said the 35-year-old man was terrorizing people with the fork. They say the man also threatened to stab employees at the Boston Transitional Clubhouse before law enforcement arrived.
Police say officers inside the establishment observed the man acting in a way that made them believe he may use the fork as a weapon.
The suspect was pepper-sprayed after reportedly refusing to be taken alive by police. He was charged with assault and battery, assault with a dangerous weapon and related charges.
