To the editor of The Eagle:
On Thursday, June 27, 30 parents with children under 18 years of age and I attended a driving class that is required by state law. The class was held at the Dalton Police Station and was hosted by Keith Palmer and Richard Farley of the Arrow Driving School.
Mr. Palmer was quite informative, as well as funny and concise. He has been doing this for 18 years.
He was followed by Mr. Mark Lavallee of Liberty Mutual Insurance. He explained to us parents the many insightful ways to save money and help our kids attain insurance,
Lastly, Officer John Bishop of the Dalton Police Department gave us an overview of all local and state laws as they apply to us and our kids. Officer Bishop is very kind and nice as well as being fair, and I am sure tough when needed.
We were the last group of people (along with our kids the next day) to hear Officer Bishop’s gems of wisdom after eight years of volunteering his time. Officer William Munch will be replacing him this fall as the police representative.
I want to thank all of these wonderful people for their unselfish giving of their time. You are all amazing. Big hugs to all of you!
